How NSFW live wallpaper works
Desktop HUB does not fake a wallpaper with a window stuck behind other apps. It attaches playback to the Windows desktop shell layer (the same class of surface Wallpaper Engine and Lively use). Icons stay clickable. Video stays behind them.
Built for adult downloads, not workshop scenes
Pick videos from your Desktop HUB Downloads folder. Sequential, shuffle, or a single file. Optional per-monitor picks (different video on each display). Loop on or off. An on-desktop widget plus tray controls for pause, skip, and restore. Before the main window minimizes, the app can ask which video to pin so you are not surprised.
How to turn it on
- Install Desktop HUB from desktophub.app (first install includes a 7-day Pro+ trial).
- Download videos in the app, or point a display at a local file.
- Open Settings -> Playback and choose Live wallpaper (Pro+) when minimizing.
- Quit Wallpaper Engine, Lively Wallpaper, or ScreenPlay if they are running - Desktop HUB will refuse to fight them.
- Minimize. Video moves to the desktop. Restore from the widget or tray.

People looking for live wallpaper on Windows 11 usually land on two names. Here is how Desktop HUB is different.
Wallpaper Engine
Steam app with a huge workshop of interactive wallpapers. Excellent for SFW scenes, 2D/3D, and audio-reactive art. Adult video as a desktop layer from a Pornhub library is not what it is for, and Steam workshop rules make NSFW a poor fit.
Lively Wallpaper
Open-source Windows live wallpaper (Microsoft Store / GitHub). Great general-purpose player for videos, websites, and apps as wallpaper. It is not an unofficial Pornhub client, it does not manage adult downloads, and it is not built around per-profile privacy tools.
